WEDDING CEREMONY
OPENING REMARKS
_______________(his name) and _______________(her name), welcome you to this beautiful occasion in the celebration of Holy Matrimony.
DEARLY BELOVED: We come together in this Holy Place, in the sight of God, and in the presence of these witnesses, to unite this woman and this man in Holy Matrimony. Matrimony is not to be entered into lightly or without advise, but discreetly, reverently, and in the fear of God.
Forasmuch as Marriage is Ordained of God, it becomes those who enter the Marriage Covenant to consider what the Word of God teaches concerning it. The Lord God said, "IT IS NOT GOOD FOR THE MAN TO BE ALONE, I WILL MAKE A HELPER SUITABLE FOR HIM."
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "FOR THIS REASON A MAN WILL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE UNITED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO WILL BECOME ONE FLESH."
The Apostle Paul said it well; "HUSBANDS, LOVE YOUR WIVES, EVEN AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH, AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR IT", and "LET THE WIFE SEE THAT SHE GIVES REVERENCE TO HER HUSBAND."
Into this estate _______________(his name) and _______________(her name), have come to unite two hearts and lives, blending all interests and hopes.
